Missions report 2005
The focus of “05” was Local Missions…: 2005 was a busy year for our LCC Missions teams… In early May a team went to Northgate Church in Batavia, a fellow Free Methodist Church, to help with their new building… In two days we not only ran out of paint, we ran out of rooms to paint… Northgate had their grand opening about the same time we had ours…
That same weekend another team went to Lighthouse Christian camp to help build a new lodge… The lodge has since been finished and is now in use…
In early Spring the building that housed Ophelia’s Place was sold & they were notified their lease would not be renewed by the new owners… After much searching a new building was acquired and a team responded in June to help with the move… In July & August teams responded to help with clean up, demolition & renovations at Ophelia’s Place… Individuals went on their own to help during the week, evenings & on weekends…
In September a team responded to a call to help complete the renovations at the new Children’s Education wing at our new Ministry Center…
