“Love The Lord With All Of My Mind”

2 Facts About Our Minds

 

 

1. God knows our thoughts

          You know when I sit and when I rise, You perceive my thoughts from afar.     Psalm 139:2

 

          * He knows their limitations

          The Lord is fully aware of how limited and futile the thoughts of mankind are...                   Psalm 94:11 (LB)

 

          * He knows their possibilities

          For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?  But we have the mind of Christ.          1 Corinthians 2:16

 

 

2. We are responsible for our thoughts!

          Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.            Romans 12:2

 

          We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.         2 Corinthians 10:5

 

          Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable— if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.               Philippians 4:8

5 Ways To Love The Lord With All Your Mind

 

1.  Meditate on God's truth

          Whatever is true

 

          I will quietly keep my mind upon Your promises.             Psalm 119:95 (LB)

 

2.  Appreciate God's worth

          Whatever is noble

 

          Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.   Philippians 3:8 (LB)

 

3. Cooperate with God’s plan

     Whatever is right

 

          But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.            Psalm 33:11

 

4. Appropriate God's cleansing in your heart

          Whatever is pure

 

          Oh, wash me, cleanse me from this guilt.  Let me be pure again.         Psalm 51:12 (LB)

 

5. Celebrate what God is doing      

If anything is praiseworthy…

 

          He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in Him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord!                Isaiah 26:3 (LB)
